If you’re ever on the lookout for a simple reminder plugin for your site than look no further than the Email Reminder plugin. No need to venture out to your hosting panel to set up a cron job, this plugin will do it all right from your WordPress dashboard.
It doesn’t get much easier than this folks:
- Download/upload the Email Reminder plugin and activate.
- From your dashboard select the Email Reminder label.
- Simply enter in your reminder message, the email address you would like to send it to, and the date and time the reminder is to be sent.
Be aware that the plugin works with the WordPress cron scheduler and is not a “real” cron scheduler. The plugin relies on persons visiting your site to trigger the cron. As the plugin author notes on the plugin page, “This means that by default, reminders won’t always get sent on the exact time you want. This is most noticeable on sites with very low traffic.”
