Including cURL (LibCurl) into your Visual C++ 2012 Project

After much cursing whilst trying to get curl to work within my VC12 project, I finally ran across these 2 blog posts that saved the day and my hair:

http://quantcorner.wordpress.com/2012/04/08/using-libcurl-with-visual-c-2010/
http://theetrain.ca/tech/installing-curl-using-visual-studio-2010-beginners-guide/

They have pretty much the same info but it was theetrain that I found first. I followed their directions step by step with just 1 deviation: Instead of mapping my Include Directory to /include/curl/, I mapped it to just /include/ and then was able to leave the reference to curl.h alone within simple.c…it also solved an issue that I had with Visual Studio finding curlbuild.h with this error: “error c1083: cannot open include file…”
Thanks again guys – you are the bomb!
