How do I access the SQL View in Access 2013

I can’t believe that Microsoft still hasn’t made this easier to find! I guess they’re just assuming that everyone wants to use their slow visual query editor. For those of us that would rather just bang out a simple query in a SQL editor though, this is for you:

Out of the box, how to get to SQL View:

  1. Click on the CREATE menu.
  2. Click on Query Design.
  3. Close the Show Table popup window.
  4. Click on SQL View.

I’m still looking for a shortcut or easier way to get to this though…
